dc.description.abstract Introduction: Globally more than 99% of maternal mortality was related with pregnancy and child birth, mainly post-partum hemorrhage. As the previous studies show that using non-pneumatic anti-shock garment for a bleeding woman was reducing maternal mortality more than 50% but In Ethiopia most of the times the bleeding women was referring and managing without wrapping of non-pneumatic anti-shock garment. Having such problems, evidences were very limited at the country level, so this study would assess the practice and associated factors of None Pneumatic anti shock garment application for the management of postpartum hemorrhage among the health care workers in Bench Sheko zone. Objective: The aim of this study was to assess the practice and associated factor of non-pneumatic anti shock garment utilization among health care workers working maternity ward Bench-Sheko Zone, Ethiopia 2022/23 Method: Institutional based cross sectional study was conducted among health care workers in Bench-Sheko Zone from December to February 30, 2022/23. Consecutive sampling technique was used. Epi Info version7.8 and SPSS version 25 was used for data entry and analysis respectively. Bi-variable and multivariable logistic regression model was fitted and P-value less than 0.05 were taken as statistically significant. Result: A total of 150 health professionals were participated in this study, which making 96.8% response rate. The proportion of non-pneumatic anti-shock garment application for the management of post-partum hemorrhage was 10 (6.6%) with (95% CI 3% to 14.4%. The variable knowledge (AOR=2, 95%CI 1.08, 8.04), NASG training (AOR =5, 95%CI 3.03, 20.01), Educational qualifications (AOR=2.5, 95% CI 1.805, 30.02) and professional categories (AOR=3, 95% CI 1.76, 18.15) were significantly associated. Conclusion: The overall prevalence of NASG application for the management postpartum hemorrhage was lower than the study done in various areas of Ethiopia and even globally. More 92% the health profession needs training of non-pneumatic anti-shock garment. So the Zonal health offices need to work together with nongovernment organization for the resource of non-pneumatic anti-shock garment and arrange on sit training for health professionals to decrease maternal mortality as a result of post-partum hemorrhage. en_US
